New Haven Federation receives $45,000 Responsive Grant

NEW HAVEN – The Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven is among several non-profit organizations to be awarded a 2019 Responsive Grant by The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven. 

The Federation received a grant in the amount of $45,000.00 to support the enhancement of the safety and security at the Jewish Community Center.

This year, close to $3 million in Responsive Grants were awarded to nonprofits organizations working throughout Greater New Haven. The grants support 43 local programs and organizations that address eight issue areas: arts and culture, basic needs, children and youth, civic vitality and social justice, economic success, education, environment and animals and health and wellness. 

The Responsive Grant cycle is open to nonprofits serving Greater New Haven and is made possible with unrestricted and preference funds established by Foundation donors.
