Lenore “Leni” Berkowitz, 97, of Lantana, Florida, formerly of Columbia, Conn., died July 11. She was the widow of Myron “Muni” Berkowitz. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of Murray and Rose Flatow. She was an active member of Temple Bnai Israel in Willimantic since 1957. She was also predeceased by her brother, Howard Flatow; her sisters- and brothers-in-law, Eva and Max Miller, Celia and Sim Fruchtman, Gigi and Hyman Stollman, Gil Flaum and Sam Berkowitz. She is survived by her children, Jerry and his wife Lisa of South Windsor, and Cheryl and husband David of Simsbury; her grandchildren, Mara Yacobi and her husband Ori, Ari Lejfer and his fiancee Jillian, Vincent Spera and his wife Alexandra, Melissa Spera, Danielle Peron, Jadien Smith, Cara Cavallari, and Corey Farnsworth; her great-grandchildren, Erez, Maya, Ethan, Leni Mae, Sophia, Gabe, Mickayla and Ian; and her sister-in-law, Estelle Flaum.
