Rita Gailing Barkan, 87, of Norwalk, died June 30. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of Sylvia Goldberg Gailing and Louis Gailing. She is survived by her sister, Ellen Gailing Deutsch of Cedarhurst, N.Y.; her sons, Seth J. Barkan (Lisa), and Adam Barkan; her grandchildren, Benjamin Barkan and Emelie Wittenberg; a niece and nephew and their families.
