Marc & Sheryl Green retire after 5 decades of leadership at Lux Bond & Green

On Dec. 24, 2022, Lux Bond & Green, the renowned fine jeweler with 6 retail stores in Connecticut and Massachusetts, announced that Marc Green and Sheryl Green have retired after their respective 50- and 47-year careers at the 124-year-old family-run business.

Marc Green leaves behind a 50-year legacy of leadership at the fourth generation family run jewelry, watch and gift store, including serving as board chair of the Jewelers Vigilance Committee, board director at the Jewelers Security Alliance, American Gem Society, and the American Watch Guild. He is a past recipient of the American Gem Society Triple Zero Award, an honoree for Jewelers for Children annual gathering. He has also served as board chair of The Connecticut Retail Merchants Association where he received their distinguished service award.

He has also served on numerous local boards, including the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce and the Hartford Ballet. His contributions to Lux Bond & Green’s business over the years, especially his strong relationships in the luxury watch market, have been instrumental in the company’s growth and success as one of the country’s premier jewelry and watch retailers.

Sheryl Green is a well-respected leader in the gift and tabletop world. She has been a featured speaker at trade shows such as Jewelers of America, and her talents have been showcased in many publications, most recently in the January 2022 issue of Tableware Today Magazine. For many years, Sheryl and her team designed the tablescape for the annual holiday open house at the Connecticut governor’s residence. Her taste and passion for the giftware industry have established Lux Bond & Green as a shopping destination for beautiful gifts for the home. In addition, she was one of the first in the company to recognize the importance of having an online presence and spearheaded the development of the LBG website and social media outlets to much success.
