Richard Merker of Vernon Rockville, Conn. has died. He was the husband of Inge Merker. Born in Frankfurt, Germany in 1931, he came to the U.S. with his mother in 1947. He was drafted into the Marine Corps in 1951 and served for three years. He is survived by his four children,: Ronald, Robert, Lynn Piretti, and Lori Merker-Chapman; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
