Celebrating Shavuot with a Mega Challah Bake in West Hartford

Children, teens, parents and friends all enjoyed the Mega Challah Bake hosted one recent Sunday by Friendship Circle of West Hartford to celebration the holiday of Shavuot. ‘

We could really feel the impact all of the Friendship Circle members created in our community this year,” noted Rabbi Shaya Gopin of Chabad of West Hartford, director of Friendship Circle. To all the many volunteers he added, “Thank you for your part in making this happen, completing the circle and building a more inclusive Jewish community.”

Every high school senior Friendship Circle volunteer was gifted with a mezuzah — a symbol of pride to bring with them as they prepare to embark on their college experience.
