By the Numbers: Israelis ready to stand alone

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the U.N. General Assembly on Oct. 1 that Israel would not allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons, and if Israel “is forced to stand alone, Israel will stand alone.” How do Israelis feel about that?  According to a new Israel Hayom-New Wave Research poll, should the need arise to attack Iran, two-thirds of Israelis are ready to go it alone.

65.6 percent of Israeli Jews would support a unilateral Israeli strike even without international support.

21.8 percent would oppose the move.
