Crown Market celebrates seven decades with 70 Acts of Kindness

Seventy years as a cornerstone of the community is something worth celebrating – but why celebrate alone?

And so, Marc Bokoff, who took over Crown Market a little over a year ago, decided to let the community in on the store’s two-month party with all sorts of goodies and gifts —  like weekly drawings for $70 gift cards and 70-cent specials of the day.
Perhaps best of all, though, on Oct. 3 Bokoff launched a “70 Acts of Kindness” program that will run through Dec. 10.  During this 10-week period, the Crown is helping to support the programs of groups and organizations that serve everyone from children to seniors to those in need – from libraries to schools to the police and fire departments…from the Diabetes Care Center at Saint Francis Hospital to the Jewish Community Center of Greater New Haven to the Jimmy Fund and March of Dimes.
