HaZamir Hartford invite Jewish teens to audition

HaZamir Hartford, the local chapter of the international Jewish high school choir HaZamir, has announced the start of its 2015-2016 season on Sunday, Sept. 6, 4 – 6 p.m. at the Bess and Paul Sigel Hebrew Academy, 53 Gabb Road. The choir meets on Sundays, 4 – 6 p.m., at the Academy throughout the season.

Conducted by Yehudis Schrieber, who trained at the Julliard School of Music in New York, the choir gives Connecticut Jewish teens the opportunity to sing the finest Jewish choral music, as well as meet other Jewish teens from all across the country and Israel. The choir also participates in the HaZamir Festival, which begins on March 31 and culminates with a gala concert at Carnegie Hall on April 3, 2016.
