Bringing Thanksgiving to families in need

Thirty-something volunteers helped pack bags filled with turkeys and all the trimmings that were then delivered to the more than 100 people in need in time for Thanksgiving. This year’s Thanksgiving Holiday Food Bags event, coordinated by the Anja Rosenberg Kosher Food Pantry of Jewish Family Services of Greater Hartford and co-sponsored by West Hartford’s Crown Market and TD Bank, paired donations of $18 with in-kind donations from Crown Market. “It takes a small village to make this happen and we really appreciate all the help,” said Food Pantry Coordinator Shari Cantor.
