2 West Hartford residents elected to Leadership Greater Hartford Board

HARTFORD – Two West Hartford residents, both members of the town’s Beth El Temple, have been elected to the Board of Directors of Leadership Greater Hartford, a community organization founded in 1977 that provides leadership-building programs for mid-career professionals, teens, senior executives and retirees.

David Brandwein, a retired attorney, was founder and principal of Environmental Risk Ltd., as well as the principal/senior environmental counsel for GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. He is currently chair of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Hartford and serves on the West Hartford Library Board of Directors.

Bernard Kavaler is managing principal of Express Strategies. He is president of the Alumni Board of Directors at the University of Hartford and serves on the boards of directors for the Better Business Bureau of CT and Connecticut Humanities.
