A gift from the heart

Throughout February, residents and staff of Hoffman SummerWood Community in West Hartford dedicated their efforts to raising funds to be donated to the American Heart Association. They created heart-themed crafts and other items that were sold in the residence’s gift shop or offered as special raffles. In addition, the staff’s SummerWood Serenaders — dressed in red and pink boas, heart-shaped glasses, bow ties and other accessories — performed a capella love songs dedicated to specific residents for the price of a pledge.
