STAMFORD – Temple Beth El (TBE) in Stamford received a Yasher Koach Award from the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs (FJMC) “in recognition of its dedication to keeping the tent doors of the Jewish people open … and for improvements implemented in making its congregational website a more welcoming portal to the community.”

The award, funded by the National Center to Encourage Judaism (NCEJ), was presented at FJMC’s annual Keruv Conference held in Bethesda, Maryland, in March. Synagogues across the United States and in Canada attended.

Keruv (Hebrew for “to bring close”) is an FJMC initiative that assists Conservative synagogues seeking to create a warm and welcoming environment for intermarried families and their children. Temple Beth El has participated in this initiative for over a year.
