Joan Blumenthal Harris, of Avon, died April 5, three weeks shy of her 91st birthday. She was the widow of Alvin Richard (Dick) Harris. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of Harry and Emma Blumenthal. She is survived by her sons, Steve Harris and his wife Donna of Avon, James Harris and his wife Martine of Normandie, France, and Peter Harris and his wife Meghan of Portsmouth, N.H.; her grandchildren, Jennifer Smith and her husband Mike of Avon, Lauren LeGault and her husband Kevin of N. Grafton, Mass., Katie Harris of New York City, Max Harris, Evan Harris and Lily Harris of Portsmouth, N.H.; and her great-grandchildren, Hanna and Trevor Smith, and Mason LeGault. She was predeceased by her daughter Julie; and her brothers, Sam Blumenthal and Harry (Butch) Blumenthal Jr.
