BBYO Veterans Day Shabbat services

More than 215 teens attended BBYO’s fall convention in Danbury in November – the largest group of teens to attend the event in more than 10 years. On Friday night, the teens were joined by two special guests for Veterans Day Shabbat services: Avi Davidovich of Ridgefield, a retired captain in the Israel Defense Force’s Paratrooper Division, who spoke to the teens about his experience serving in the first Lebanon War; and Joshua Bressel, a retired sergeant in the U.S. Army. A recipient of the Purple Heart, Bressel discussed his experience serving in Iraq. On Saturday morning, more than 100 BBYO parents joined the teens for services. Pictured here are the teens with Davidovich and Bressel.
