Honoring parents in Manchester

Honoring parents

On Sunday, Nov. 21 students of The Rabbi Leon Wind Religious School of Beth Sholom B’nai Israel in Manchester held a special pre-Chanukah brunch to honor their parents, performing the mitzvah of “Kibud Av V’Em” (honor your father and mother).

Children in pre-K through grade 8 donned chef’s hats that they decorated just for the occasion, and waited on their parents and families, taking their orders in Hebrew and serving them meals. The Wind School’s administrator, Rabbi Aaron Jaffee was more than proud of the school’s students and, needless to say, parents were pleased to be honored by them.
