Tom Chapin in Concert with Young Rising Stars

Tom Chapin

Grammy award winner Tom Chapin, a nationally acclaimed folk singer- songwriter, will perform in a family concert at Newtown High School in Sandy Hook, on Sunday, March 27 at 3 p.m.  The concert is produced by Congregation Adath Israel of Newtown as part of the synagogue’s “The Little House that Roared” program.
Leading young performers throughout the area, including Sam Weiser and other rising stars, will open for Chapin.
“I’m excited to come back to Newtown and perform with these wonderful young musicians,” said Chapin, who performed at the Flagpole Radio Café in November to a sold-out adult audience.
“We started “The Little House That Roared” series last year as a showcase for highly talented young musicians,” said Adath Israel’s Rabbi Shaul Praver.  “I guess we strummed the right chord because now we’re putting these kids on the same stage with Tom Chapin. We believe Newtown is in need of more wholesome, live family entertainment.  “The Little House That Roared” concert committee at Adath Israel is proud to provide it!”
