Ethel Simkowitz Bernstein, 99, of Avon, formerly of Fall River, Mass., died Nov. 4. She was the widow of Herman Bernstein. Born in Philadelphia, Penn., she was the daughter of the late Louise and Max Simkowitz. She is survived by her children, Diane and Larry Greenfield of West Hartford, and Leslie Bernstein of Fall River, Mass.; and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
