With local chapters located in many cities across the U.S. and in Israel, HaZamir offers Jewish teens in grades 8 – 12 the opportunity to gather together to sing Jewish choral music. Through weekly rehearsals and a highly structured program, HaZamir fosters in young people a lifelong commitment to Jewish culture and music in young people, and building a strong foundation for future Jewish involvement among its participants. Although each HaZamir chapter is autonomous, the chapters come together every March to perform at a gala concert. In addition to local and regional performances, HaZamir sponsors regional retreats, where teens meet, rehearse together and create lasting friendships.

The 2015 HaZamir Festival and Gala Concert will be held on March 26-29 in New York City.

In addition to five chapter in Israel, HaZamir has chapters in Baltimore; Bergen County, N.J.; Boston, Mass.; Brooklyn, N.Y.; Chicago; Cleveland; Columbus; Dallas; Hartford; Houston; Long Island; Los Angeles; New York City; New Brunswick, N.J.; North Jersey; Philadelphia; Pittsburgh; Providence; Rockland County, N.Y.; South Jersey; and Westchester.
