Howard Hirsch, 77, of West Hartford, died Sept. 11. He was the husband of Linda Hirsch. Born in New York City, he was the son of the late Irving and Sally Hirsch. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Margie and Bruce Bidwell of Connecticut, Patti and Dave Richardson of Wisconsin, and Ilene and Christopher Fernald of Massachusetts; his grandchildren, Katie and Mike Kane, Kellie Fernald, Kim and Scott Merrill, Brooke and Lexy Richardson, and Annie Bidwell; his great-grandchildren, Connor and Jack Kane, and Allison Merrill; and his brother-in-law, Les Shapiro of Connecticut; his sister-in-law, Judith Sokolow of Texas; his niece and two nephews. He was also predeceased by his sister, Annette Brownstein.
