Anita Bernice (Alpert) Caplan, 88, formerly of Hamden, died Oct. 27. She was the  wife of Marvin Caplan. Born in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Meyer and Gussie (Lipkowitz) Alpert. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Stuart Caplan and his wife Jean of Cheshire; and her grandchildren, Caleb Yale Caplan and Tema Celia Caplan.
