Lee Nachtigal, 39, of Rishon, Israel, formerly of Connecticut, died Sept. 2. She was the daughter of Ruti Kabel and Moshe (Mark) Nachtigal. She was a member of the Connecticut National Guard, basic training at Ft. McLellan, returning home to serve as an MP. She made aliyah five years ago, and worked for Israel’s National Army Defense Department, climbing 650-foot communication towers to perform installations and maintenance and also to work on the Iron Dome Weapon system, putting herself in dangerous situations every day. She was the only woman in Israel to hold this position and was interviewed for an Israeli magazine. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her step-mother, Barbara, and her siblings, Joshua, Danielle and Benjamin Nachtigal.
