Judith “Judy” Wrubel of Bloomfield died Nov. 29. She was the widow of Mel Wrubel. Born in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Sally (Leibowitz) and Edward Wacks. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Wrubel and his wife Debbie of West Hartford, Susan Wrubel and her husband William Ruocchio of Colchester, Marcy Girard of the Colony, Tex., and Sharon Lavoie and her husband Paul of East Hartford; her grandchildren, Greg Wrubel (Stacey), Lisa Joseph (Brandon), Eric Girard, Melissa Gurley (Mathew), Jennifer Girard, Joshua Lavoie (Rosalee Boudreau), and Kevin Lavoie; seven great-grandchildren; her brother Michael Wacks,; her sister Hannah Scher; her brother-in-law Bennett Wrubel; her sister-in-law Muriel Wrubel; and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Beverly Furman and Sara Buddington, her brother Jerry Wacks, and her sister-in-law Stella Wacks. WINSTON MORTUARY
