Harry Harris of New Haven died Jan. 5, a day before his 88th birthday. He was the widower of Harriet Vachss Harris. Born in Hartford, he was raised in the Jewish Home for Children. He served in the U.S. Air Force (Army Air Corps – Airman, First Class) during World War II and the Korean War. He is survived by his children, Rebekah Sue Carolla and her husband Andrew of East Haven, Sondra J. Harris and her husband Jeffrey Verrier of North Las Vegas, Nev., and Allan J. Harris and his wife Patricia of Easton, Mass.; his granddaughters, Lila Belinda Harris and Charlotte Francesca Harris; and his surviving brothers and sisters from the Jewish Home. ROBERT E.
