As their “Mitzvah Project,” children and families of the Mandell JCC Beatrice Fox Auerbach Early Childhood Center in West Hartford recently collected new and used toiletries to donate to the Village for Families & Children, also in West Hartford. “In our Early Childhood Center we strive to incorporate and expose the children as early as possible to community service so that it becomes a part of their lives as they grow and move forward,” said ECC Co-Director, Pam Powell, in explaining the genesis of the project.
