Dr. Meyer Malkin, O.D., 98, of Rockville, died peacefully at his home on his 64th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, April 20, 2016. He was the beloved husband of 64 years to Mildred “Milly” (Cutler) Malkin. He was born on February 3, 1918, in Waterbury to Morris and Rose (Yavetz) Malkin. He served in the Army Air Corps, Medical Detachment during World War II and was an optometrist in Rockville for 50 years. In addition to his wife, Mike leaves his three cherished sons, Dr. Frank Malkin and his wife Janice of Sudbury, MA, Dr. Neil Malkin of Ellington, and Dr. Robert Malkin and his wife, Dr. Julie of Avon; five treasured grandchildren, Daniel, Elise, Melissa, Caroline and Peter Malkin; his brother, Dr. Herbert Malkin, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Friday, April 22, 2016.
