Michael M. Kaufmann, P.E., 75, of West Hartford, died July 16. He was the husband of Frances (Hymans) Kaufmann. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Bernard and Betty (Lifland) Kaufmann. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Alan Kaufmann and his wife Melinda of West Hartford, and Stephanie Zangwill and her husband Leonard of Glenside, Penn.; his brothers, Barry Kaufmann and his wife Lilly of Tampa, Fla., Howard Kaufmann and his wife Beverly of Jacksonville, Fla., and Stephen Kaufmann and his wife Judy of Charlotte, N.C.; and his grandchildren, Marissa, Branden and David.
