Evalyn (Jartman) Herskowitz, 97, of Norwalk, formerly of New Britain, died August 20. She was the widow of Sidney J. Herskowitz. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Israel and Bessie (Block) Jartman. She is survived by her sons, Richard Herskowitz and his wife Paula of Charlotte, N.C., and Israel Herskowitz and his wife Deborah of Norwalk; and her grandsons, Daniel Herskowitz and Jeremy Herskowitz. She was also predeceased by her son Steven Herskowitz, and her brother Nathan Jartman.
