Dr. F. Scott Gray receives award for medical advocacy

SHELTON – Dr. F. Scott Gray was presented with the Prasad Srinivasan Award for Dedication to Medical Advocacy by the Fairfield County Medical Association (FCMA) at the organization’s Annual Meeting, held Oct. 27 at the Inn at Longshore in Westport.

An orthopedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle care at Connecticut Family Orthopedics in Danbury and Ridgefield, Gray is affiliated with Danbury Hospital, where he pioneered total ankle replacement and minimally invasive foot and ankle trauma surgery. In 1998, he co-founded the Danbury Foot and Ankle Center.

A graduate of Georgetown University Medical School, he has for many years been active in medical politics and legislative efforts on behalf of his patients and fellow physicians across the state.

He currently serves as president of the Connecticut Orthopedic Society, president of Ortho New England, co-director of the Danbury Foot and Ankle Center and medical director of the Western Connecticut Health Care Orthopedic Clinic.
