Ruth (Katzman) Schatz, 81, of Hamden, died Jan. 11. She was the widow of Bennie Schatz. Born in Ansonia, she was the daughter of the late Aaron and Tamara (Witkin) Katzman. She is survived by her children, Bruce Schatz and his wife Jane of Orange, and Brian Schatz of New Haven; her brother Harry Katzman of Ansonia; and her grandchildren, Matthew and Nicole. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Evelyn Seltzer, and Jacob, Isaac, and Albert Katzman.
