Jay S. Horenstein, 89, of Bloomfield, died May 17. He was the widower of Doris E. (Brown) Horenstein. Born and raised in New York City, he was the son of the late Syd (Hefter) and the late Louis Horenstein. He served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his son Kenneth P. Horenesntein and his wife Lauren Krasnow,  and his son John D. Horenstein and his wife Melissa; and his grandchildren, Josh and Rachel Horenstein of West Hartford, and Emily, Katie and Jacob of Plainview, New York.
