Arthur S. Lassow, 80, of Manchester, died July 8. He was the beloved husband of Merle (Moses) Lassow. Born in Hartford, he was the son of Herman and Miriam (Barshay) Lassow. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving aboard the USS O’Hare Navy Destroyer as a hospital corpsman. He was a lifelong member of the Temple Beth Sholom, now known as Beth Sholom B’nai Israel in Manchester. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Hilery Slattery and her husband John, and Brent Lassow and his partner Paul Pierog; his grandchildren, Myriam Lou and Tybal Jaye Slattery; his brother Jeffrey Lassow and his wife Liza Mandel; his sister-in-law Marilyn Lassow. He was predeceased by his brother Gordon Lassow.
