Rabbi Jim Rosen (left), spiritual leader of Beth El Temple in West Hartford and Marty Melnick (right), the shul’s Men’s Club president, congratulated bar mitzvah boy Jordan Weinstock after he read his haftorah from a special “Sefer Haftorah” that includes all the Haftorahs with vowels an trop. The unique scroll travels around the county as part of a project sponsored by the Federation of Jewish Men’s Club (FJMC). It visits a different shul of a participating FJMC Men’s Club every Shabbat of the year. Beth El Temple received it from Boston and, after Shabbat, sent it onto Rochester, N.Y.
