STAMFORD – Louis Felder z”l, a longtime Stamford resident who was among several employees of Hartford Distributors who were murdered last year at the company’s Manchester facility, will be memorialized at the annual Chevra Kadisha Dinner, to be held at Congregation Agudath Sholom in Stamford on Tuesday, March 8, at 6 p.m.
The Chevra Kadisha of Stamford was instrumental in helping to recover Felder’s body from the authorities, and ensure that he was given a proper Jewish burial.
Guest speaker at the dinner will be Rabbi Jonathan Rosenblatt, who serves as senior rabbi of both the Riverdale Jewish Center and the Zicklin Residential Hospice, the first Jewish residential hospice. Both organizations are located in New York.
A native of Baltimore, Rosenblatt holds a B.A. and an M.A. in comparative literature from Johns Hopkins University, and a Ph.D. from Columbia University in modern British literature. He was ordained at the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary of Yeshiva University in 1982.
