Mervyn D. Lentz of West Hartford died Feb. 16.  He was the widower of Wilma (Maier) Lentz. Born in Newark, N.J., he served as a U.S. Navy Lieutenant and Chief Engineering officer during Word War II in the Pacific. He is survived by his children, Steve (Amy) Lentz of Woodbridge, and Alison (Paul) Shlien of Farmington; four grandchildren, Benjamin Lentz, Stephanie Lentz, Zachary Shlien, and Alexander Shlien; and a sister, Rita Freedman.
