World Wide Wrap

In this photo, Debbie Bettan dons tefillin for the first time, with a little help from Rick Lasker.

More than 85 children and adults took part in the World Wide Wrap hosted by The Emanuel Synagogue in West Hartford earlier this month. Thirty-five of those in attendance wrapped tefillin for the first time, including several women.  Along with a crash course in the fine art of wrapping tefillin, the morning included services followed by breakfast and workshops on the mitzvah of tefillin.
