Emil Ellenberg, 87, of West Hartford died August 29. He was the widower of Irene (Saks) Ellenberg. Born in Poland, he was the son of the late Zigmund and Ernestine (Kranthammer) Ellenberg. He was a Holocaust survivor. He is survived by his children, Jeffrey Ellenberg of Avon, Edward (Cynthia Melmer) Ellenberg of Vernon, and Anna (Jerry) Cohen of Simsbury; eight grandchildren, Adam (Jamie) Cohen, Eric Cohen, Joshua, Justin, Jake, Jeremy, Thomas, and Sarah Ellenberg; and two great-grandchildren, Samuel and Isabel Cohen.
