Rabbi Jim Rosen showed his mettle when he went rappelling down Ramon Crater in Israel last month. Rosen, who serves as spiritual leader of Beth El Temple in West Hartford, led congregants on a family trip to Israel that, in addition to rappelling, included a slew of activities, like water walking through Hezekiah’s Tunnel in Jerusalem, an ATV Jeep tour through the Golan Heights and, of course, camel riding.
