Marking a decade of pride

Ruth Alexander, a resident of Hoffman SummerWood in West Hartford, enjoyed the musical entertainment provided by celebrity impersonator Robert McArthur, who donned his Elvis get-up to help kick off the Hoffman community’s celebration of National Assisted Living Week on Sept. 11. Those in attendance also took time to mark the 10th anniversary of 9/11 with the recitation of the poem "We Remember Them," as a somber bell tolled. A "Decade of Pride" exhibit, showcasing the community’s rich ten-year history, was on exhibit in the lobby. On hand for the occasion were West Hartford Mayor Scott Slifka, Hebrew Home CEO Bonnie Gauthier, and Brad M. Hutensky, Chairman of Hebrew Life Choices Board of Trustees. Photo by Paulo Ferreira.
