Stuart Richard Cooper, 77, died Dec. 8 in Baltimore, Md. He was the husband of Alma (Shedroff) Cooper. Born in New Haven, he was the son of Jack Cooper and Dorothy Schimmerling Cooper Curtiss. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving on the U.S.S. Edisto, an ice-breaker that traveled to the North Pole, Greenland and Cuba (’58). In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Marcia J. Cooper (Preston Gumerich)  of New York City, and Roslyn (Kevin) McGrath of Marquette, Mich.; his sister Marion Friedman.; his step-grandson Aaron McGrath; his brother-in-law Marshall Friedman.
