FAIRFIELD – Comedian Marion Grodin will be guest performer at the Jewish Home for the Elderly’s 44th Annual Spring Luncheon and Boutique, to be held on Monday, May 7, at the Marriott in Trumbull.
The daughter of actor Charles Grodin, Marion regularly headlines at some of New York City’s most popular comedy clubs, including Standup New York and the Gotham Comedy Club. She has also been seen on various network late-night shows and daily talk shows, including NBC’s Late Night with Conan O’Brien and ABC’s The View.
“Anne and I are delighted to bring Grodin’s hilarious performance and her trademark ‘affectionately edgy’ style of comedy to a diverse group of women,” says Susan Freed of Fairfield, who is co-chairing the event with Anne Warren, also of Fairfield.
According to Karen Holson of Wilton, who is chair of the boutique portion of the event, a wide range of vendors are expected to be represented. The day will also include a raffle.
“We are looking forward to connecting our multi-generational audience through laughter, warmth and shared stories,” said Sandy Young of Fairfield, president of the Women’s Auxiliary. “This special day is a wonderful opportunity for old and new friends from throughout Fairfield County to enjoy a fun, meaningful experience together.”
