Israel’s Technion among the world’s best

(JNS.org) Amid its growing partnership with Cornell University, the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology was ranked 25th on Business Insider’s recently released list of the world’s 50 best engineering schools. New York City announced the Technion-Cornell initiative in December 2011 with the goal of creating an unmatched engineering campus on New York’s Roosevelt Island. Technion President Dr. Peretz Lavie told JNS.org this past February that the school’s strategic goal is “to be among the 10 leading technical universities in the world, joining such schools as MIT, Cal Tech, Stanford, and Georgia Tech in the United States, and the leading universities in Europe, Asia and India.”
Two Connecticut schools also made the list: UConn, #47, and Yale University, #19.
