This year marks the 90th anniversary of the dedication of Mount Sinai Hospital. To mark the occasion, Howard W. Orr, chairman of Board of Directors of Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital, and Dr. Robert J. Krug, Mount Sinai medical director, Mount Sinai, placed a blessing for Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital and Saint Francis Care in the crevices of the Kotel – the Western Wall – in the old city of Jerusalem. The note, which is among more than one million prayer notes that are placed in the wall each year, expressed the wish that Mount Sinai’s “mission perpetuate as part of Saint Francis Care with our common Judeo-Christian heritage/values serving all in our community for the next century and beyond.”
