Xmas Day Mitzvah Program in Hartford

Hebrew Health Care is seeking volunteers to participate in the home’s 2013 Christmas Day Mitzvah Program, in which individuals in the community take over tasks at HHC for the day in order to allow staff members to celebrate the holiday with their families.

Volunteers can fill in on a number of tasks: e.g., manning the Main Street Café and gift shop; delivering food trays; performing clerical tasks; helping out at bingo; transporting wheelchair-bound patients; and more.

The Christmas Day Mitzvah Program runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants may volunteer for shifts of an hour or several hours. To volunteer call Ruthan Wein at (860) 523-3818 or email rwein@hebrewhealthcare.org.
