Solomon I. Yazmer, 92, of West Hartford died August 31. He was the widower of Sylvia (Kotovsky) Yazmer. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Samuel and Sadie Yazmer. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He is survived by his children, Donald Yazmer of Farmington, Ronald Yazmer and his wife Ellen of Avon, and Rochelle Bartelstone and her husband Steven of Avon; his sister, Trudy Brown and her husband Dr. Louis Brown of West Hartford, his brother Robert Yazmer and his wife Dory of Shelton; his grandchildren, Erica Beilenson and her husband Andrew, Michael Bartelstone, Dana Wiener and her husband Josh, Devin Yazmer and his wife Leah, Jessica Yazmer, and Andrew Yazmer; and his great-grandchildren, Evan and Adam Beilenson, Gabriel and Caleb Wiener, and Hayden and Mitchell Yazmer; his brother-in-law David Kaye and his wife Selma; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Ida Lassoff.
