Palestinian stabs Jewish man in Jerusalem

(JNS.org) A 27-year-old haredi Jewish man was stabbed by an 18-year-old Palestinian man near the entrance to Jerusalem’s Old City on Sunday, Feb. 22. The Jewish man sustained moderate wounds and was taken to the Shaare Zedek Medical Center, while the Palestinian was apprehended by Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat and his security team. “I was driving my car near [Safra] Square when suddenly my team saw the terrorist near us with a knife,” Barkat said. “Both myself and my bodyguard immediately jumped out of my car. My guard drew his weapon and we held the terrorist until police arrived.”
