Melvin Laschever, 95, of West Hartford, died Feb. 8. He was the husband of Shirley Laschever. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Max and Yetta Laschever. He served in the Army during World War II on Christmas Island. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister Esther Boykan of Springfield, Mass.; his children, Diane Salm and her husband Ron, Steven Laschever and his wife Christine, and Robert Laschever and his wife Tobin Schermerhorn; and his grandchildren, Rachel Salm, Andrew Salm and Nicolle Laschever.
