POLANSKY

Sam Polansky, 91, of Avon, died May 29. He was the widower of Meta (Bromberg) Polansky. Born in New York, N.Y., he was the son of the late Abraham and Sadie (Simmons) Polansky. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and participated in the Battle of the Bulge. He is survived by his daughters, Laura Radocy and her husband Craig of Canton, and Susan Polansky of Danbury; his grandchildren, Mark and Morgan Radocy, Jimmy Alexander, and Sara Zandri; his great-grandchildren, Sam and Amy Alexander; and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his son Jacob, his daughter Amy, his brother Murray, and his sisters Celia, Rose, and Trudy.
