Maryellen Shafer, 87, of West Hartford and Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., died May 19. She was the wife of Dr. Myron Shafer. Born in Philadelphia, Penn., she was the daughter of Morris and Ann Weisman. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Pamela Shafer and her husband Patrick Sheehan of Hopewell, N.J., Alex Shafer of Richmond, Calif., Gail Voisin and her husband Didier of Amherst, Mass., Theodore Shafer of Burlington, and Glenn Shafer and his wife Dana Greenberg of West Hartford; and her grandchildren, Nora Sheehan, Michael Sheehan, Paul Voisin, Gabriel Voisin, Ethan Shafer, Abby Shafer, Ella Shafer, Joshua Shafer, and Lily Shafer.
