U of Hartford’s Greenberg Center to host Jewish internship fair

The first annual University of Hartford/Jewish Community Internship Fair, hosted by the Maurice Greenberg Center for Judaic Studies, will be held on the West Hartford campus of the university on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 12:15 p.m. Representatives of local Jewish organizations and agencies interested in having an intern on their staff for the Spring 2017 semester are encourage to attend and meet the students.

The fair is conjunction with the Greenberg Center new course, Internship in Judaic Studies, which gives students the opportunity to receive credit for internships, while teaching them skills in Jewish communal leadership, Jewish education, philanthropy, and more.

Agencies and organizations interested in participating in the program are asked to draft a short description of the internship – i.e., what is expected of interns and what interns can expect to learn from the experience. explaining what they expect of student interns and what students will learn as part of the experience.
